A Checklist of Vascular Plants in Donggeomdo Island (Ganghwa-gun), Korea 동검도(강화군)의 관속식물 목록

Abstract

The aim of the present study is to checklist of vascular plants in Donggeomdo Island (Ganghwa-gun), Korea. Specimens collected from previous Donggeomdo flora studies were reexamined with a observations and field surveys were carried out seven times from March of 2024 to October of 2024. Based on the specimens collected during both previous studies and this study, we identified 657 total taxa, representing 607 species, eight subspecies, 38 varieties, two forms, and two hybrids. They were placed in 380 genera and 115 families, including 183 taxa newly recorded in this study. Among them, seven taxa were endemic plants to Korea and six taxa were IUCN red list plants. Floristic target plants amounted to 54 taxa, including one taxon of grade Ⅴ, one taxon of grade Ⅳ, ten taxa of grade Ⅲ, 17 taxa of grade Ⅱ, and 25 taxa of grade Ⅰ. A total of 77 taxa of alien plants were identified, with a Naturalized Index of 11.7%, and an Urbanization Index of 19.6%. Nine plants disturbed the ecosystem.
